How does ALT eSIM work?▼
Pick a destination and plan → pay with Stripe → receive your eSIM QR code by email within ~30 seconds → scan to install on Wi-Fi → enable Data Roaming on arrival. No physical SIM swap.
What currency am I charged in?▼
All plans are priced and charged in US Dollars (USD), regardless of your location or display language. The site can show other currencies for reference, but checkout is always in USD.
Is the unlimited data subject to a Fair Use Policy (FUP)?▼
All ALT eSIM plans include 1GB of high-speed data per day. After the daily 1GB is used, the speed is reduced to 128kbps with continued unlimited use; the high-speed allowance resets the next day.
Do I need real-name or ID registration?▼
No. ALT eSIM data eSIMs require no real-name or ID registration — just scan the QR code and go.
Does my phone support eSIM?▼
iPhone XS or later (2018+), Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+ — most flagship phones from 2018+. Dial *#06#; if a 32-digit EID appears, your phone supports eSIM. See the Compatible Devices page.
When do I get it and how do I install?▼
The QR code is emailed within ~30 seconds of payment. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → scan QR. Android: Settings → Connections → SIM Card Manager → Add mobile plan. Install on Wi-Fi before departure.
What is the refund policy?▼
All eSIM purchases are final — no refunds or returns once payment is confirmed, whether or not the eSIM has been installed. Please confirm destination, duration, and device compatibility before buying.
Can the eSIM make calls or receive SMS?▼
It's data-only. Use WhatsApp, LINE, or FaceTime for calls. To receive bank/work SMS, keep your physical SIM active in parallel.
