What You Get and What You Don’t

When you buy from Alt eSIM, you get a travel eSIM that roams onto Tele2's network in Sweden, Russia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. This means you can use data in these destinations without needing a physical SIM card. However, you do not get Tele2's own SIM or any direct services from them. Our eSIM connects to Tele2's network as a roaming partner. For example, if you're traveling to Sweden for a week, you can activate our eSIM and use data as you explore. The caveat is that while we offer competitive rates, we cannot guarantee the exact network performance since we do not control Tele2's infrastructure.

Applicable Destinations

Our Tele2 eSIM is valid in six destinations: Sweden, Russia, Croatia, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. These countries are listed in both English and Chinese, so you can easily identify where you can use the eSIM. For instance, if you're planning a trip to Russia and Croatia, you can use the eSIM in both countries. The eSIM will automatically connect to Tele2's network when you're in these destinations. However, it's important to note that the eSIM will not work in any other country outside of these six. So, if you're traveling to other parts of Europe or Asia, you'll need to consider additional plans.

Choosing the Right Plan Shape

When selecting a plan, you have two main options: daily plans and total data plans. Daily plans are ideal if you want a fixed amount of data each day, with options of 1GB or 3GB per day. This is suitable for travelers who have a consistent data usage pattern. On the other hand, total data plans offer a set amount of data for the entire trip, ranging from 2GB to 50GB. This is better for those who have varied data needs throughout their journey. For example, if you're going on a 10-day trip and need 2GB of data each day, a daily plan would be more appropriate. The caveat is that once you choose a plan, you cannot change it, so plan carefully.

Getting Connected

To get connected, you need to install the eSIM on your device. This process is straightforward and can be done through a QR code or by entering a code manually. Once installed, you can activate the eSIM before your trip or when you arrive at your destination. The eSIM will automatically connect to Tele2's network when you're in one of the six destinations. For instance, if you're traveling to Estonia, the eSIM will connect as soon as you land. The caveat is that you need to have an eSIM-compatible device, which includes most newer smartphones and some tablets. If your device is not compatible, you will not be able to use the eSIM.

When the Allowance Runs Out

Once your data allowance is used up, your connection speed will drop to 128 or 384 kbps. This speed is still usable for basic tasks like browsing, checking emails, and using messaging apps. However, it may be too slow for streaming videos or downloading large files. For example, if you're in Latvia and your 3GB daily plan runs out, you can still stay connected but at a slower speed. The caveat is that you cannot purchase additional data once your plan is exhausted. So, it's important to monitor your data usage and choose a plan that suits your needs. If you need more data, you will have to buy a new plan.
