Discover how Alt eSIM's CTM roaming plans work, where they apply, and what to expect when you buy from us.

What You Get and What You Don't

When you buy from Alt eSIM, you get a travel eSIM that roams onto CTM's network in Macau, China + Macau, and Macau + Taiwan. This is not CTM's own eSIM or plan; we are an independent provider. You will not get access to CTM's official shops, customer service, or any special deals they offer. Our eSIM works just like a physical SIM but is built into your device. You can activate it easily and connect to CTM's network without any physical SIM card. However, we do not provide CTM's own coverage maps or detailed network information.

Applicable Destinations

Our CTM eSIM roams in Macau, China + Macau, and Macau + Taiwan. These destinations are listed in Chinese as 澳門, 中國內地+澳門, and 澳門+台灣. This means if you are traveling to any of these places, our eSIM will connect you to CTM's network. For example, if you are visiting Macau for a weekend getaway or planning a longer trip that includes both Macau and Taiwan, our eSIM is a convenient option. However, if you are traveling outside these destinations, our eSIM will not connect to CTM's network.

Choosing a Plan Shape: Daily vs Total Data

You can choose between daily plans and total data plans. Daily plans are great if you want flexibility and are traveling for a short period. For instance, if you are on a week-long trip, you can opt for a daily plan and pay only for the days you use. On the other hand, if you are traveling for a longer duration and prefer a fixed budget, a total data plan might be better. For example, if you buy a 10GB plan, you can use it over any number of days until the data is exhausted. Both plans offer the same network quality and speed, so the choice depends on your travel habits.

Getting Connected

Connecting with our CTM eSIM is straightforward. Once you receive the eSIM, you can activate it through your device's settings. After activation, your device will automatically connect to CTM's network when you are in the supported destinations. For example, if you land in Macau, your phone will connect to CTM's network without any manual intervention. The process is seamless and hassle-free. However, ensure your device is compatible with eSIM technology before purchasing. If it's not, you won't be able to use our service.

What Happens When the Allowance Runs Out

When your data allowance runs out, your connection speed will drop to 128 or 384 kbps. This speed is still usable for basic tasks like browsing, messaging, and checking emails. For example, if you are on a 3GB daily plan and you use up your data, your speed will decrease, but you can still stay connected. However, for activities like video streaming or large downloads, this speed will be too slow. To avoid this, you can top up your data or upgrade your plan if needed. Remember, the speed reduction is temporary and will reset when your next daily plan starts or when you buy more data.
