What You Get and What You Don’t
When you buy an AT&T eSIM from Alt eSIM, you’re getting a travel eSIM that roams onto AT&T’s network in the USA, USA + Canada + Mexico, and Americas Multi-Country. This is not an AT&T-branded product, so you won’t get any of AT&T’s own plans or contracts. Instead, you’ll receive a data-only eSIM that works seamlessly with your device. For instance, if you’re traveling to the USA for a week, you can enjoy internet access without the need for a physical SIM card. However, remember that we don’t offer voice or SMS services, so you’ll need to use apps for calls and messages.
Applicable Destinations
Our AT&T eSIM works in the USA, USA + Canada + Mexico, and Americas Multi-Country. These destinations cover a wide range of travel options, from exploring the bustling cities of the USA to the diverse landscapes of Canada and Mexico. For example, if you’re planning a trip that includes New York and Toronto, you can use our eSIM for internet access in both cities. However, it’s important to note that our eSIM only works in the destinations listed, so if you travel outside these areas, you won’t have data service.
Choosing the Right Plan Shape
When selecting a plan, you have two main options: daily plans and total data plans. Daily plans are great if you want flexibility and are traveling for a short period. For example, if you’re on a 5-day trip, you can choose a daily plan and pay as you go. On the other hand, if you’re traveling for a longer duration and need a fixed amount of data, total data plans might be more suitable. For instance, a 10GB plan could cover your needs for a 15-day trip. The cheapest plan across all destinations is US$4.65, and daily plans work out from US$1.76 per day.
Getting Connected
Connecting with our AT&T eSIM is straightforward. After purchasing, you’ll receive a QR code that you can scan with your device’s camera. This will activate the eSIM on your device. Make sure your device is compatible with eSIM technology and that it’s unlocked. Once activated, you can start using the internet immediately. For example, if you’re at the airport and need to check your flight status, you can scan the QR code and get connected within minutes. However, remember that the eSIM must be activated before you start your trip.
What Happens When the Allowance Runs Out
Once your data allowance is used up, your connection speed will drop to 128 or 384 kbps. This speed is still usable for basic tasks like checking emails or browsing the web, but it might be too slow for streaming videos or downloading large files. For example, if you’re on a 5-day trip and your 3GB plan runs out on the third day, you can still stay connected, albeit at a slower speed. However, if you need more data, you can purchase an additional plan. Just be aware that the speed reduction is automatic and will remain until your next plan starts.
